I saw a response to one of my posts on a community page. It wasn’t encouraging or positive, but it inspired me to write this story. I know this is the answer the person needs, even if they don’t want it. JESUS said, “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick” (Mat 9:12 KJV). Sin is the sickness and JESUS is the cure!
Why would the person need JESUS if they don’t want Him? If they are rejecting JESUS for whatever reason, they need salvation! But they may have had their fill of religion and have good reason to close that door! I’m not talking about religion but a personal relationship with GOD ALL MIGHTY, through His SON, JESUS CHRIST. That has nothing to do with man’s attempt to get to GOD through religious rituals and traditions.
This is GOD’s idea! “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17 KJV). JESUS’s part in this wasn’t just an honorary role but, “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Rom 5:8-9 KJV). They put their ideas into action!
There is even more to that name. JESUS is our Healer! Peter said, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24 KJV). “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” (James 5:15 KJV) so you must pray in faith in that name.
What is the answer for the scornful poster? JESUS! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7 KJV) and “without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb 11:6 KJV) and “wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Mat 7:13-14 KJV). GOD sacrificed a lot so you can be with Him and JESUS died that you might live, but it’s up to you.
JESUS said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV). “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom 10:17 KJV) and I will keep posting and the HOLY SPIRIT will keep calling you until you either accept JESUS as your personal Savior or go to be judged by the same JESUS you rejected, and be cast into the lake of fire (Rev 20:15) to pay for your sins.
