Touch Not Mine

It’s been six months since the terrorist attack on Israeli civilians left 1200 dead. The Israeli government took swift and decisive action against Hamas, who filmed some of their atrocities and bragged as they were committing the crimes. Israel has stayed the course despite increasing world pressure. Israel can’t wait for world opinion because they are fighting for survival.

Palestinian casualties mounted as Hamas had planned and their supporter’s cried genocide. Despite contrary reports, the Israeli military is trying to minimize civilian casualties. Hamas could release the remaining hostages and surrender and the war would end, but Hamas doesn’t want it to end. Neither does their leaders in Iran. That is why Israel killed the Iranian mastermind of the October 7 attack in Lebanon. That was payback for the attack.

This proxy war has been ongoing for years, but the instigator has always been Iran. They finally decided to show their power by attacking Israel, after threats didn’t make Israel withdraw from Gaza. Perhaps Iran saw this as their moment? With a divided American public, few allies backing Israel and faltering support among the Israeli people for their leader, could a weakened Israel fall under pressure? The one factor Iran didn’t count on is GOD!

Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles against Israel, which should have been a devastating blow against the small but modern country of densely populated cities. It should have knocked out infrastructure and communications, disrupted commerce and travel. But none of that happened. 99% of the 300+ drones sent, and missiles launched failed or were destroyed by Israel or its allies. Iran was humiliated by its own failure. Israel was encouraged by this miraculous protection from the hand of GOD!

But what has GOD got to do with it? Wasn’t it their state-of the art defense systems, skilled pilots, and help from allies? All of those were part of this miracle, but in the past, even the terrorist’s crude rockets had higher success rates. Many of Iran’s missiles failed to launch or crashed before they reached Israel. One child was injured by falling debris and no serious damage was done.

This stunning victory will be listed with such notable events as the Six Day War. I guess the Iranians haven’t read “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper” (Isa 54:17 KJV) and “Touch not mine anointed” (Psalms 105:15 KJV). They could have saved themselves from a lot of embarrassment and wasted missiles and drones.

Even some of our own (US) people should read “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee” (Gen 12:3 KJV) and stop siding with the enemies of Israel. Thankfully we were part of that miracle and were used by GOD. They are His people, called by His name (2 Chron 7:14) and He won’t let anyone harm them!

If you have accepted JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and Savior, you too are now one of His people, called by His name and He “will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee” (Gen 12:3 KJV) because you are now a child of GOD!
