I posted my stories on a community internet page and along with many “Likes” and “Amens” some people told me to stop posting religious content, while others said I should be banned. The page administrator kindly suggested I might want to block comments, but I assured him I expected some flack. What do you think, did I stop sharing the Good News on that page because it bothered “non-Christian” members? They were the subject of my next story!
I believe GOD gives me these messages to share with this lost and dying world and when I first started sharing them on Facebook pages, I posted on Christian pages that looked like they needed help. Some had many followers but little to no activity. When I posted my stories on one such page, I was soundly chastised, and they threatened to report me if I continued. What do you think that response from “Christians” did to my desire to obey GOD? It wasn’t what I expected, but I shook the dust off my feet (Mat 10:14) and continued looking for pages that welcomed my contributions. Today I share the Good News on 20 different pages each day.
A more serious sacrifice was when Pastor Bob Middleton considered getting out of Christian education but didn’t because Agape Christian Academy suddenly closed, and he was worried about my grandchildren. That’s why when he and his wife started a Church in their living room, they also started a Christian school. Three years later my grandson graduated from that school, Heritage Christian Academy, and will begin college this fall. What do you think are the chances they will continue training up children in the way they should go? I think they will!
How can we be discouraged when we have examples like Paul who was stoned and the people “drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead” (Acts 14:19 KJV)? He rose up and went on to preach and suffered many more times, and yet he wrote much of the New Testament. What do you think happened when he was imprisoned for sharing the Good News? They had to kill him to shut him up!
JESUS was the Good News! He died for those who mocked and crucified Him. What excuse do you think He will accept if we don’t “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15 KJV)? What do you think you should do?
