The headlines announced the celebrity had been removed life support. That was the final and tragic scene in her life in the spotlight. Her 53 years came to a painful close after saying she was drinking vodka with wine chasers; she then got in her car and drove at high speeds and crashed into a house. Her car burst into flames, and she suffered severe burns and internal injuries.
As she lay in the hospital her story remained in the news with speculations as to what made her to do it and the potential legal consequences she might face. The home she crashed into was a total loss and there would be charges. Her achievements and high-profile affair with another star were mentioned as news agencies waited for news of her condition to emerge. Her son’s touching statement showed another side of her life. Even as friends and admirers expressed hope for her recovery it was announced she had suffered brain damage and may not survive, so it wasn’t a surprise when she passed away. After a brief delay for organ donations, the machines that preserved her body were finally disconnected. I won’t speculate on what happened after that because I don’t know. What I do know is there are only two possibilities.
If she accepted JESUS CHRIST as her Savior, she went to be with Him forever. No more sickness and pain, no more doubts and cares, and that won’t change. No words can hurt her, and she doesn’t need help. She won’t regret leaving her life in the limelight because all her attention is now on her loving Savior! She’s not resting in peace because she will never be tired. Her celebration doesn’t need alcohol or drugs because she’s high on JESUS and will never come down. Now she now understands “to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21 KJV)!
If she didn’t accept JESUS while she was alive, she is paying for her sins and that will never end. No heart-felt pleas by those she left behind will end or even ease her torment. How can you be so cruel to bring up even the possibility of that kind of suffering when she just died? The cruelty came from those who didn’t bring it up while she was alive and could change her destination. I mention it now for the living because “now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor 6:2 KJV) while you are still alive. It’s too late for the dead because they have been removed from eternal life support. They have no more chances, no more options and no more hope.
I was told by a former coworker that I must prove to him by evidence that GOD is real, and we need to accept JESUS, or be “cast into the lake of fire” (Rev 20:15 KJV). The truth is “he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb 11:6 KJV) and “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom 10:17 KJV). Abraham told the rich man in hell, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead” (Luke 16:31 KJV).
I will keep presenting the Good News but it’s up to you to accept your life support (JESUS) “for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Mat 7:13-14 KJV). Stay connected until you die and gain eternal life!
