Sorry!

Lately I haven’t been as diligent about getting my Good News to Share stories out on time. I normally get up at 5 a.m. to make sure I share my stories by 7 a.m. so I can reach people in the US when they first check social media and, in the Philippines, before they sleep. If I have a medical appointment, I get up at 4 a.m. so I have plenty of time to reach the 18 people and 19 pages/groups I share with each day after I take a shower.

Yesterday (Monday) I woke up at 2:30 a.m. feeling like I wasn’t getting enough air, so I prayed, tried to calmly breathe, and used an antihistamine spray, which worked when this happened before. After an hour I continued to struggle and told my wife I needed to go to the emergency room and get help. After a few hours and a few tests in the ER I started feeling better and the Doctor said he couldn’t find anything and sent me home, with instructions to follow up with my ENT Doctor. After stopping on the way home for breakfast, I was very late posting my story and, on some pages, I didn’t post until after I took a long nap. Sorry!

You might think I would have made up for my previous failure this morning (Tuesday), but you would be wrong. I forgot to set my clock yesterday, so I got up too late and after my shower I only had enough time for a few posts, everything was late! I could tell you I’m getting old and that I was still recovering from yesterday’s ordeal, but all I can do is say I’m sorry!

Why is sharing the Good News such a big and why does it bother me that I posted my stories late? The Bible says, “whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” (Col 3:23 KJV) and this is what GOD assigned me to do. JESUS said it more plainly “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:15-16 KJV) and this is how I obey His command. Yes, but one story won’t make a difference, even if it’s late. What if my story was the last presentation of the Gospel for one of the 150,000 people who died Monday or one of the other 150,000 people who died today would hear and it arrived too late for them to see and respond? Could the HOLY SPIRIT have used the words He shared through me to save a soul or two from eternal damnation, and I let them down? If you have a burden for the lost, then you understand “loving GOD with all” and “loving your neighbor as yourself” (Mat 22:37 and 39) is serious business.

If you don’t have a burden for the lost, you won’t understand and might want to make sure you have really accepted JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR. Please make sure, because this could be your last witness and your last chance to be saved before you face JESUS as your Judge or Savior! One thing I won’t say sorry for is giving you another chance to be saved or the chance to share the Good News with your neighbor for whom tomorrow could be too late.
