Touch Not Mine

The horrific attack by Hamas in Israel is hard to comprehend. Terrorists usually limit their targets to preserve some support for their actions, but they didn’t. People normally won’t tolerate attacks against helpless women, children, and the elderly, for no one can justify that kind of slaughter. Apparently, attacking Israelis is an exception to that rule in the minds of many!

How can even the most radical politicians support the mass slaughter of innocents by Hamas? What threat were those 40 babies who were slaughtered, or the kidnapped children to anyone? Hamas murdered innocents and Israel is trying to ensure it doesn’t happen again, so foreigners are allowed to threaten Jewish Americans in our country. Why is that? I know the thief, who “cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10 KJV) is trying to divide our country and Israel, but that attack should strengthen our support for Israel!

Why do we have to support Israel? Because they are a civilized democracy, a strong ally, and because GOD said, “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee” (Gen 12:3 KJV) and “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” (Psa 122:6). But that’s Old Testament and not everyone believes in the Bible. The truth doesn’t change, just because it isn’t believed, but unbelief has consequences. Where are the Pharaohs, Emperors, Kings, and tyrants who fought against GOD’s people? Like any good parent, He disciplines His children but will defend them against others. Choose carefully “lest haply ye be found even to fight against God” (Acts 5:39 KJV).

That is like people who casually attack ministers and ministries. GOD said, “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm” (Psa 105:15 KJV). But they are doing wrong! “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth” (Rom 14:4 KJV). They are already under stricter judgement for accepting GOD’s calling (James 3:1) and He will correct them. He will also punish you for your disobedience.

Who can I judge? JESUS said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Mat 7:1 KJV). If you follow Him, you will “love GOD with all” and “your neighbor as yourself” (Mat 22:37 and 39) so that doesn’t leave much room for you to judge others. What about my enemies? “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord” (Rom 12:19 KJV). What am I to do then? If you have accepted JESUS as your LORD, you will “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Mat 5:44 KJV). You love, and GOD will take care of the rest!
