I’ve seen more anti-religious comments on Facebook lately. There have always been posts with differing opinions or that exposed moral failures, but these are different. They blatantly tell people to “Stop spreading primitive beliefs.” Some go further and suggest they use “science and reasoning” instead. They offer no evidence to support their suggestions and so I just give them a few lines in a story and keep sharing the Good News.
While I agree with them when it comes to religion, I’m not turning back from my relationship with JESUS CHRIST! I learned “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV) in Sunday School. My faith grew in Church, but my relationship became real when I asked JESUS to come into my heart and cleanse me from sin. It was then that I accepted Him as my LORD and SAVIOR. Science and reasoning don’t offer everlasting life, so I’m not turning back!
I’m sure the science and reasoning poster doesn’t believe in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT either. Neither does most of the religious world. Thankfully JESUS does! He said, “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16 KJV). They surely wouldn’t accept speaking in tongues (Acts 19:6) and miracle healing (Acts 3:6), which are extensively backed by scriptures. Having been filled with the HOLY SPIRIT with evidence of tongues, and witnessing miracles in our Church, I’m not turning back!
What about you? Are you following “science and reasoning” or JESUS who “while we were yet sinners…died for us” (Rom 5:8 KJV)? JESUS said, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12 KJV) and He did a lot!
