This was a frustrating weekend. I had just finished a busy week and couldn’t really rest because I had to work late Saturday night. Susan had been cooped in the house sick for two weeks and she wasn’t completely well. On top of that, our internet connection kept hanging up. All that doesn’t seem so serious, but it set the stage for what followed.
I had gone to bed early the previous night and didn’t get to work on my story. I started writing one, but it wasn’t working out, so I wanted to spend some quality time fixing it on Saturday. My daughter edits my stories and I needed to get it to her, so I could post it when people are most likely to read it. If it had worked out like that, I wouldn’t have written this story.
Susan was up early on Saturday and stayed on the computer all day, or at least it seemed like it to me. I thought she would eventually do something else, and I would have an extended period to finish my story and get it out. She briefly let me get on the computer a few times, but always returned too soon. I had to go into work at midnight, and it made the day even longer. There was nothing wrong with what Susan or I were doing, but we had limited resources.
GOD doesn’t suffer from limited resources. “GOD so loved the world, He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him might not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). When GOD loved the whole world, He didn’t strain His resources. In fact, He is “able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Eph 3:20). You can’t even imagine what GOD wants to do for you if you will only believe in JESUS.
