When I write a story, I ask my daughter to look it over before I send it out. I’ve been writing for years, but need someone to point out my errors. I am often oblivious to my mistakes and my daughter graduated with a minor in English. After going over the story numerous times, and making changes, I miss what should be an easy catch! It’s so bad that I have found obvious mistakes years after I shared a story without her looking at it.
If I have that much trouble with writing, imagine how much I am missing when it comes to my own life! Yes, I have lived for many years, and my wife doesn’t mind pointing out the errors of my ways, but I still need more help. Though I can see room for improvement in someone else’s life, I am oblivious to problems in my own. JESUS said, “first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye” (Mat 7:5 KJV). It seems like many others have the same problem as I.
What am I supposed to do? David said, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalms 23-24 KJV). He’s right, you need GOD to look you over and point out the problems you don’t see and tell you how to fix them. Will you humble yourself and follow His lead? JESUS said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6 KJV) and He died to fix your biggest problem.
