JESUS said, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Mat 22:39 KJV). If you are saved, have you told your neighbor that “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV)? Have you told them JESUS said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV)? If not, why not? Don’t you love them like yourself? Love isn’t a feeling, it’s an action (John 14:15)! Maybe you are embarrassed to witness to them? They could become angry and lash out and call you names! If they have different beliefs, they might become violent! Are they worth it?
JESUS thinks you are worth it. He wasn’t embarrassed to correct the religious leaders. They became angry and lashed out and called Him names, but that didn’t stop Him. The religious leaders disagreed with Him so much that they became violent and killed Him! He knew it would happen but continued to tell them the truth! Paul said, “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8 KJV). Are you worth it?
