Trusted Source

When I see a “Christian” post on Facebook, I look to see who wrote it before I “Like” it. I don’t want to agree with something if it’s not from a trusted source. If the post is a scripture and has not been altered, I have no problem agreeing with it and or sharing it on my page! Why, you ask? I totally and without a doubt trust the WORD of GOD because “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1 KJV). That’s the same measure I use when listening to sermons or Christian teaching. What is the source of their message or teaching and is it trustworthy? I particularly appreciate that our Pastor backs up his messages with scriptures. He has offered to address questions people have about controversial subjects and give scriptural references in support of his beliefs.

You should “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15 KJV) so you can “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15 KJV). JESUS said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7 KJV), not so you can have more things for yourself, but so you can do more for the Kingdom of GOD!
