Satement of Faith

  1. We believe in one God, who is eternal, and who in His mercy and love to mankind has manifest Himself as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Deuteronomy 6:4, James 2:19, 1 Timothy 2:5.
  2. We believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible as the Word of God and in the Divine inspiration to the Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16
  3. We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God manifested in the flesh; that He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the grave. 1Timothy 3:16, Luke 1:31, Mark16:6
  4. We believe the Gospel is the Good News. That Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, is now our living Savior and that our response to the Gospel should be as in Acts 2:38. “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” I Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:16, John 14:16
  5. We believe in salvation from sins by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8, and that only through Christ can a person be saved (born again) and enter into Heaven. John 3:3-5, Acts 4:1
  6. We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ and that it is commanded of every believer to be baptized. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5
  7. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) for the believer. Matt. 3:11, Acts 1:5, and that this experience follows conversion to Christ and the initial evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. Acts 2:4, 10:46 and 19:6.
  8. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, that these gifts are for us today and that they should be exercised only in Divine Order as taught in the Scripture.
  9. We believe in the five-fold ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers as taught in Ephesians 4:11-13 for the edifying and building up of the body of Christ, His Church.
  10. We believe in the literal Second Coming of Jesus Christ to take His Church out of this world 1Thessalonians 4:14-17 and then to come with His people to judge and rule the world. Revelation 9:11-16. We believe that he shall reign for one thousand years upon this earth. Revelation 20:4-6
  11. We believe in a separated life of holiness in habits, dress and associations. 2 Corinthians 7:1 and that believers should not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14
  12. We believe in Missions and that the Great Commission to the Church is to preach the Gospel into all the world and to every creature. Therefore, it is our purpose to promote evangelism at home and in foreign countries.
  13. We believe in the local church as the Scriptural method for conserving the results of evangelism for the growth and spiritual development of believers and as a home base for the propagation of the Gospel. The New Testament teaches the importance of the local church, it’s officers, and it’s members; therefore, we believe that every Christian should have a home church where he is faithful in attendance, example and support. Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 12:18
  14. We believe that love is the motivating force of the Christian Life and the Church, and that we should reach out to help others in every way we can when in spiritual, physical or financial need. “His banner over me is love” Songs of Solomon 2:4
  15. God commanded that a man and a woman engage in intimate sexual activity only after they are married to each other. (Gen.2: 24, 19:5, 13, 26:8-9; Lev.18: 1-30; Rom.1: 26-29; I Cor.5: 1, 6:9; I Thess.4: 1-8; Heb.13: 4). The phrase, “married to each other” means one man and one woman united in an exclusive union (Gen. 2:18-25).
