Ministry Vision

I. Heritage Christian Church
We currently have a church that is about changing lives
We minister in salvation through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ
We minister in deliverance and healing
The Bible says that “the Truth will make you free” so we teach the Word of God to help walk in freedom
II. Heritage Christian Academy
Christian education has been a passion to teach and disciple children with the concepts and beliefs of scripture
We have been in Christian education for 20 years and are raising the next generation to continue with this vision.
III. Heritage Christian College or Institute

We have written curriculum for Students coming out of high school and older that need a foundation in scripture before moving into what                     God has called them to do.
Not only do we have a curriculum, but we want these young people to be able to see what ministry looks like behind the scenes
We want to train them to be a blessing in their home ministries in music, altar ministry, outreach and digital programming for churches
IV. Family Friday
Family Friday was started after covid to get people back in fellowship with one another.
Covid brought high instances of spousal abuse, depression and suicide. This was our way of combating these symptoms and restoring people.
V. Food Distribution
We are part of the La Vernia Ministerial Alliance that has a food pantry in LaVernia. We are currently serving 200 families a month.
We also give into Daily Bread Ministries which distributes $11,000,000 of food annually.

VI. Kitchen to feed the hungry
It is our desire not only to supply food for families to take home but to feed those who are hungry without a place in times of need
This is not meant to be a homeless ministry but to give those who are trying to get back on their feet a helping hand.
As a partner with Daily Bread, we would also have the opportunity to become a distribution site.
VII. Sanctuary for life’s storms
We have had two events here that have opened our eyes to the need of the church to help in this area, hurricane Harvey and a snow event                     that knocked out power and water for 4 days.
The church is called a sanctuary and should be a place where people can go in the storms of life
We have equipped our buildings to run on alternate power so people can come when storms knock out power. This would also be a ministry                  for our kitchen.
VIII. Ministry team to help in disasters

We also want to be able to send out teams that can help in other areas in hard times

We want to be a church that effectively ministers to the community in these outreach programs.
