Fervent Prayer
Ever wish you had supernatural power so you could do something big? I did when I was a child, but soon realized wishes don’t come true. I attended Church and learned that GOD was able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph 3:20 KJV) and that sounded like supernatural power to me. JESUS said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7 KJV)!
Exactly how do I access that supernatural power? Pray, because the “fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16 KJV). Believe, because “he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb 11:6 KJV)
Now the question is, what are you going to do with all that power? If you have really accepted JESUS as LORD, then follow His commands to “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” and “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Mat 22:37 and 39 KJV). Then there’s the Great Commission, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:15-16 KJV). That’s because GOD’s power is for bringing souls to Him! Of course, you could start by praying for your family, your Pastor and “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Heb 10:25 KJV).
