Everything…
Recently I joined a local community group on Facebook. The name of the group is “Everything (followed by the name of six local towns). The description: “A hangout for residents of the Northeast. For sale, garage sale, small business posts, group discussions, etc., all allowed. Invite others and let’s become a family! Please no scams/spams” so I immediately joined! I’m always looking to share the Good News and that sounded like the place!
Well apparently, my understanding of the English language differs from some of the other 84 thousand members. Along with likes, Loves and compliments, I started getting suggestions that this group wasn’t the right place to share my “religious” views! Some were rather polite, but others attacked my right to share and even mocked GOD. One member reported my post as SPAM. None of this surprised me, since I’ve seen it all before. You would think the “censors” would tone down their complaints since the group description doesn’t restrict me.
What they don’t know or care to understand, JESUS is my “everything” and has been for many years! Without Him I am nothing, for JESUS is “the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by” (John 14:6) Him. The Good News I am trying to share with them is, He wants to be their “everything” too, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17 KJV).
