Did You Know?

When you don’t attend Church, you add to your Pastor’s burdens? We are told to not forsake “the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Heb 10:25 KJV) and he wants you to be strong. Did you know your Pastor is praying for you and contending for your soul? For “wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Mat 7:13-14 KJV). Yes, he has something for you on Sunday, but that is a small part of his ministry. Besides, Church attendance isn’t just for your benefit. You might be needed to encourage or minister to someone else, and that someone could be your Pastor.

The Bible tells us to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8 KJV). JESUS said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 KJV). Do you want to be destroyed by the thief or live an abundant life?

GOD did His part when He “gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). JESUS did His part when He “became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross” (Phil 2:8 KJV). Now it is your turn to do your part. If you didn’t know that before, you do now.
