“Simon…lovest thou me?… Feed my sheep.” (John 21:17 KJV). We all seem to know what JESUS was telling Peter to do when He said that. He wanted Peter to preach the Good News to the lost. Before JESUS was taken up to Heaven, He commanded “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:15-16 KJV).
Did JESUS command to the disciples include their families? Of course! Paul said, “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith” (1 Tim 5:8 KJV). He wasn’t just talking about material needs. We are told to “Train up a child in the way he should go” (Prov 22:6 KJV) because our family is our first responsibility.
What does that have to do with me? The most important need your family has, is to know JESUS as their personal Savior. Nothing else comes close!
