We missed you at Church last week and hope you are OK? I just wanted to let you know there was a “you-shaped” empty space in the service and in our hearts. We missed your warm embrace and kind words. We missed the genuine love you show for everyone you meet. We even missed your sense of humor and contagious laughter. The elderly lady you usually bring, wasn’t able to make it either. She couldn’t find a ride. We also missed your lovely family.
Your seat was left empty, because we thought you might arrive later. Several people asked if you were all right and wondered if you had called. The Pastor’s burden seemed a little heavier when he heard you didn’t make it. We had to get someone else to do those little things you usually take care of when you are here. You sure were missed!
The Pastor’s message challenged and encouraged everyone that heard it. We missed your hearty “Amen” when he made a good point and those songs you love so much didn’t sound nearly as good without your voice joining in. There was one less hand raised during praise and worship and the service seemed a bit quieter. We prayed for you and your family, but when your friend needed prayer, nobody placed a hand on his shoulder. We got used to you being there for him. You weren’t the only one that missed out.
We hope you will be able to make it to Church next time. Don’t be embarrassed about your absence and stay away. You see we love you very much and you play an important part in our Church and in GOD’s plan to show his love to a lost and dying world. “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16, 17 KJV). He gave so much! Surely we can do our part to spread the Gospel and support the Body of CHRIST? The LORD is returning soon and we don’t want anyone to miss that! See you in Church!
