Good News to Share

A Witness –

I commented on a Facebook post the other day and was immediately attacked by several people.  I encountered that trouble on a page for foreigners “Married to Filipinas” with over 5000 members.  I wasn’t surprised that some disagreed with me, but their comments were harsher than expected.  Some of the attackers claimed to be atheist.

The original post was, “How do you settle disputes about differences in religion?” It was meant to stir things up. I saw an opportunity to be a witness and get the basic salvation message in, realizing there was a bigger audience watching the discussion.  Rude comments continued, so I eventually dropped out of the discussion.  I later posted one of my stories on Hell to give them something to think about.

I have posted my stories on that same page in the past, with a lot of likes and positive comments.  One guy said I should stop posting my stories because he didn’t believe in GOD.  I was surprised when a self-proclaimed atheist came to my defense and said he liked my positive story, no matter who I gave credit to.

I will continue to post my stories to cheers and jeers and will comment when I see an opportunity.  Why would I do that and risk such abuse?  Jesus said “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick” (Mark 2:17).  A lost and dying world needs to hear “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).

I also post my stories on Christian pages, where I hope to challenge Christians to share them as a witness to the lost.  That is why I titled my page “Good News to Share.”  I was blocked by several pages when my message didn’t agree with theirs, or I posted too often.  I didn’t want to intrude, but the need is urgent.  150,000 people die every day and they need to know Hell is hot, eternity is forever and only JESUS can save them.

I will keep looking for ways to be a witness to the lost and won’t give up. Why?  JESUS didn’t give up on me when He ran into resistance.  He kept trying and finally got through to me.
