He Calls His Shots

When playing the game of pool (billiards) the object of the game is to cause the intended balls to fall into the pockets on the pool table. If a player is good, they call their shots by stating which ball will fall into which pocket before they take the shot. If the shot doesn’t go as planned, it’s considered a failure and doesn’t count. That is why only highly skilled players will attempt it. Some might consider calling your shots bragging, but it’s more like confidence.

GOD calls His shots because He will do it. Not maybe or perhaps, but He will! That is like the plan of salvation. The Lamb was “slain from the foundations of the World” (Rev 13:8 KJV) and His birth foretold by Isaiah “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” (Isa 9:6-7 KJV).

It was fulfilled when “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). In fact, it is still being fulfilled every time someone “heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and…is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24 KJV)! That’s not all! The next shot He has called is when we go to Heaven with Him! “In my Father’s house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2 KJV). You can be sure that your mansion is waiting for you!

Another shot that was called and will also be fulfilled is “whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Rev 20:15 KJV). Don’t wait to see Him do this one, because it will be too late to change the outcome!
