How would you respond if someone offered to save your life, meet all your needs, heal your body and mind, and make you part of their family? You might doubt their ability, but if they had a proven record and unlimited resources, you might want to seriously consider their offer. Perhaps I should ask, how did you respond to JESUS?
JESUS had different responses when He was here. When He cast the demons out of a possessed man, the Gadarenes asked Him to leave them because they were afraid, but the man who was freed, wanted to follow JESUS. He told the man to go back to his house and testify about what GOD had done for him (Luke 8:26-39).
I’m sure the man was thankful when JESUS healed his withered hand in the temple, but the Pharisees wanted to destroy Him because He healed on the Sabbath (Mat 12:13-14). That was their typical response, though JESUS fulfilled the scriptures, healed and delivered people, raised the dead and performed miracles only GOD can perform. The religious leaders were blinded by their own pride and greed. They killed Him to protect their positions, but it was GOD’s plan to save the world!
I ask again, how did you respond? “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV) and “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV) is the offer.
