I Agree

My wife and I are interested in what is going on in the World and watch several political programs and that’s where our differences show up. She wants to listen to the people she agrees with and tells me to mute the television while the “other side” is speaking. I want to hear both sides, especially if they are credible. I won’t blindly follow “my side,” but want to hear the opposing view and decide for myself if they have a valid point. They say good positions can withstand a little scrutiny and I agree with that.

Our Pastor is a bit peculiar (different) when compared to other Pastors in our little town. Given half a chance, he will ask “are you born again.” The salvation message isn’t popular, because people don’t want to admit they have sin in their lives. How can that be when it is so important? The Bible says “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil 2:12 KJV), because it is important and I agree with the Bible and Pastor Moore.

Pastor Moore preaches a strong, Bible-based message that some people disagree with. He didn’t attend a theological seminary. He was saved while driving to work one morning, even though his Church didn’t teach salvation. Along with salvation, the LORD gave him a hunger to know more about JESUS. He began reading the Bible and finding more that had not been taught in the Church he was attending. Maybe that is why Pastor Moore uses so many scriptures when he preaches? He tells us to write down the scripture references, so we can be sure what he says is true. JESUS said, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” (John 5:39 KJV) and I definitely agree with JESUS.

While still a young Christian, Pastor Moore was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Doctors said he needed an operation that would leave him in a vegetative state. They didn’t teach healing in his Church, but he read “by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24 KJV) in his Bible and declared JESUS is going to remove the tumor without an operation. He was awakened by a message on the radio about a prayer meeting, where they offered to pray for the sick. He was alone, but a voice told him twice to go to that prayer meeting, where “a bunch of grannies” and the Pastor anointed him with oil, laid hands on him and prayed. He was immediately healed and the next day his Doctor verified the tumor was gone. The scripture “Is any sick among you? …call for the elders… let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord… And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” (James 5:14-15 KJV) was proven then and many more times in his ministry. Pastor Moore said, “They came too late to tell me GOD doesn’t heal anymore” and I agree with him.

Some call Pastor Moore’s Church is a cult, because they believe in the infilling of the HOLY SPIRIT, with evidence of speaking in tongues. That is another “gift” Pastor got straight from GOD and it is confirmed in the Bible. That is another thing I agree with, because I have that gift too. Don’t depend on others to tell you about GOD. “Search the scriptures” and see what He has for you! Don’t you agree?
