In His Presence

For a while it was popular among Christians to wear bracelets with the acronym W. W. J. D. (What Would JESUS Do?). I don’t see many people wearing them anymore, but for a time I used to think “What would Pastor Moore think?” I respected him and his uncompromising stand when it came to the WORD of GOD. Pastor Moore died some time ago, and now I look to a higher standard. I look to GOD in His WORD, in prayer and in His presence.

It sounds like W.W.J.D. but it’s more. I long to live in His presence! JESUS said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7 KJV). People normally read that scripture and think of all the “stuff” JESUS will give or do for them, but I want more of Him! GOD said, “all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God” (Deu 28:2 KJV) but, JESUS said, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Mat 6:33 KJV).

You are blessed so you can do GOD’s will, not so you can live in luxury. JESUS said, “lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Mat 6:20-21 KJV). The presence of GOD is found in obedience, and He will help you here and now, and be with you for all eternity!
