It was supposed to be a routine landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, near Washington D.C., but something went wrong… After colliding with a military helicopter, the small commercial aircraft burst into flames and plunged into the Potomac River. There were no survivors. 67 people, including three from the helicopter, reached their final destination sooner than expected.
Every one of them went through either the narrow gate or the broad way. Do you think they care who will win the Super Bowl, how many of the president’s nominees get confirmed or when will the price of eggs go down? No, of course not! They have more important things on their mind right now because “wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Mat 7:13-14 KJV).
But some of those things are important to us! Yes, but we need to get our priorities straight, because we could be the next ones to reach our final destination sooner than expected. JESUS said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV). That’s because “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).
I believe and accepted JESUS as my SAVIOR, so I’m good! Yes, but JESUS also said, “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Mat 22:39 KJV). Have you told your neighbor? Which one? All of them!
