There are a couple of verses that are stark reminders of why we need to share the Good News of JESUS CHRIST. Matthew 7:13-14 say, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
JESUS stated these as facts, and they won’t change. No matter what numbers you imagine “many” and “few” are, they are too many and too few. Each one are souls passing into eternity, the few to eternal life and paradise, and the many to eternal death and torment.
So, what is the “straight gate” and “narrow way” that leadeth to life? JESUS said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV). What is the “wide gate” and “broad way” that leadeth to destruction? Anything that comes between you and JESUS!
“God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). When you believe in JESUS, accept Him as your LORD and Savoir, and turn from your sins, you have found the “narrow way” and will make it through the “strait gate”!
