I’ve been actively posting my Good News to Share stories on Facebook for 10 years. I started with my wife’s personal page and later, on my page and finally I added a ministry page so I could share the Good News with more people. My wife only has a few hundred Facebook friends, but my page and my ministry pages have almost 5000 friends each.
With 10,000 friends, you might think the Good News is spreading and revival will be breaking out around the world. For we know the WORD and GOD are one (John 1:1) and JESUS told us to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:15-16 KJV). With 150,000 people dying each day and most are lost and going to Hell (Mat 7:13), surely people are eagerly sharing the Good News?
That’s the idea, but it hasn’t worked out that way so far. Some posts only get a few likes, and fewer shares. Maybe you are not doing everything you can? I write what GOD gives me, use scriptures to back up my words and I tag 20 individuals (it also goes to their friends) and share on 20 groups or pages daily, plus I also send my new stories by email to 53 people. In addition, I pray
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please” (Isa 55:11 KJV). I’m not sure what else I can do!
There is one message I share that is wildly popular and gets the greatest response every day! I’ve made sharing that message a priority. That message is “Happy Birthday! I pray all GOD’s blessings over your precious life!” I send those before anything else. Many people who have never liked or shared any of my stories will make it a point to thank me by name for blessing them on their birthday. Why bother with that self-centered response when that message won’t save one soul? JESUS said, “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Mat 22:39 KJV) and I know I love getting birthday blessings, so I take that opportunity to love on my neighbors! I will leave it up to the HOLY SPIRIT to draw them to Himself.
What are you going to do to get people to share the Good News? I’m going to keep doing what GOD gave me to do because “neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase” (1 Cor 3:7 KJV). What I am doing is nothing compared to what GOD did. “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). JESUS is the Good News, but He and His message was rejected by those He came to save. Did he quit or try another plan? No, He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV) so there is no other way. All I have is the Good News that GOD shared with me, and I will keep sharing it with others as GOD’s provides the way!
