When you see the news, you would think the world was coming to an end…because it is. Paul wrote, “in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good…lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Tim 3:1-7 KJV). That could be today’s Headlines, if they were interested in the truth.
Brother, you are being too harsh. We must show them love. JESUS said, “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 KJV) and that is love. But that list was written by Paul, and we know he was hard. If you are going to choose what part of the scriptures you believe, he is describing you.
What are we supposed to do? What JESUS commanded, “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” and “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Mat 22:37 and 39 KJV), and “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15 KJV). I’m doing that, now what? Keep doing it, because these are the “last days” and most are heading down the broad way “that leadeth to destruction” (Mat 7:13 KJV)!
