“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass…Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Rev 1:1 and 3 KJV). We’ve been told what the end will be, and the only undecided part is your choice. Will you choose salvation or damnation?
I’ve been reading the book of Revelation in the Bible and though I don’t understand all of it, I do understand the end is near and we all must make a choice. It isn’t a difficult choice to make, and I made mine many years ago, but the difficult part is “keeping those things which are written” until the end comes. With so much depending on my obedience you would think it would be much easier to do, but “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” and he’s good at his job. Thankfully Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 KJV) so we can choose life and JESUS will help us to overcome the thief. Our part is to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you” (James 4:7 and 8 KJV). In fact, we can only resist the devil after submitting ourselves to GOD.
When people read Revelations, they see it as way off in the future, but the future is here. With the world stage being set for JESUS to return, I am praying “Even so, come, Lord Jesus” (Rev 22:20 KJV). Why would you pray that with so many having not accepted JESUS? Because the world is moving farther from GOD rather than to Him! JESUS said, “wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Mat 7:13-14 KJV) and that hasn’t changed and seems to be getting worse.
Even with the Bible warning of the coming judgement for those who aren’t born again, people dismiss the chance of going to hell. I was chastised for scaring people by saying “you must accept JESUS, or you will go to hell” but JESUS himself said “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3 KJV). That isn’t a scary message, but one of love because “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17 KJV). Our salvation was made possible by GOD sacrificing His own Son and JESUS submitting to GOD’s plan and dying on the cross for us! The payment must be made by you or JESUS.
But I can enjoy the pleasures of the world now and get saved later. You don’t know how much time you have left, and this decision is too important to take a chance on missing out. 150,000 people will die tomorrow, and you might be one of them. That would be your end of time so don’t delay “now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor 6:2 KJV). The Book of Revelations tells of GOD’s overcoming power for those who accept and follow JESUS and a warning of His wrath to those who don’t. Accept JESUS and His love now because the time is at hand!
