Watching the news and internet traffic, you could easily come up with examples of the best or worst days of other people’s lives. What would be your best day? There is a long list of potential contenders you could come up with for other people. Getting married or having children would be on many lists, but would they be the absolute best? Was winning the presidential election Donald Trump’s best day? He may have had many great days, but was that day at the very top? I’ve heard of people receiving miracle healings for themselves or their family members and expect that would be on their list, but maybe something else was even bigger than that? Hopefully they carried that joy with them for a long time, but there is a day that could be so much better than that.
With one tragedy after another, you have a large selection of potential worst days to choose from. Perhaps a personal failure would make the list or a horrible mistake would be a contender? Did Hillary Clinton have her worst day when she lost the election she was supposed to win? How about that actor who staged a hate crime and faces prison time? I hope those were their worst days, because they could have a day that is much worse than those.
One day that will be on the top of your list is the day you die. People don’t want to think of that day, but that is the most important. When you take your last breath and your heart beats the final time, it is both an end and a beginning. Whether you had power and riches; or you are a nameless beggar, living in misery and want, when you leave this brief life all of that fades into insignificance. Some lose their mind and their chance to repent long before their body dies. Whether you watched as death approached or it came as a thief in the night, your last day is your final chance to decide where you will spend eternity. If you are saved when you die, that is the best day of your life, but if you die without JESUS, that is the worst.
You only have a choice while you are living and have enough of your mind to believe and accept JESUS as your Savior. With so much depending on that decision, why wait? If we have learned anything, we know the future is uncertain. “behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor 6:2). Not sure how to be saved? The Bible says to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil 2:12 KJV), because it’s important! That doesn’t mean you can chose your own way, but read the Bible and believe what it says. GOD will help you! You must believe because “he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb 11:6 KJV). Remember GOD loves you! “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). GOD made a way for you to have the best day of your life! Now believe in JESUS and accept Him as your Lord and Savior! Your best day can begin right now!
